FREDERICK, Md. - No. 6 Thomas Johnson remained unbeaten with a 15-11, 15-9, 6-16, 17-15 win over South Carroll on Tuesday night.

Ashley Cresser had 15 blocks and six kills, Emily Hauver had 11 kills, 10 service points, four aces and 13 digs, Kristen Palm had nine kills, nine service points and seven digs, Erin Maldo had seven blocks, 10 service points, three kills and nine digs and Allison Koski had 11 assists for TJ (4-0).

JV: TJ, 15-6, 13-15, 15-3.

Smithsburg 3, Boonsboro 0

SMITHSBURG - Michelle Feiser had 14 service points, seven aces and 12 kills leading Smithsburg to a 15-3, 15-2, 15-10 win over Boonsboro.

Jenelle Stouffer had 10 service points and 14 assists and Heather Ashley added seven kills for Smithsburg.

Mandy Binder had six assists, thre kills and three digs, Katie Ambrose had four kills and five service points and Kelly Baldwin had six service points and three digs for Boonsboro.


Grace 3, Broadfording 0

Grace Academy (5-0, 2-0) remained undefeated in a 15-4, 15-4, 15-6 win over Broadfording Christian Academy (0-3).

Heather Kendall had 24 assists, Stephanie Anthony had seven kills while Susanna Hill had seven kills and six aces for Grace.

Greencastle 2, West Perry 0

ELLIOTTSBURG, Pa. - Kathy Kershner had seven service points, six assists and four digs while Tonia Petersheim had 10 service points, three aces, three kills and four digs for Greencastle (5-0) in a 15-7, 15-3 victory over West Perry.

Jefferson 3, Goretti 0

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, WVa. - Amanda Sunday had 21 service points while Lisa Jackson had 12 for Jefferson (2-2, 2-1) in a 15-4, 15-6, 15-3 victory in the Apple Valley League over St. Maria Goretti. Heidi Siirtola had five kills for the Gaels (0-7, 0-4).

JV: Jefferson, 15-8, 15-3.

CVC 3, Heritage 0

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chrissy Ennis had nine service points, three assists and two assists for Heritage Academy in its 15-1, 15-5, 15-10 loss to Cumberland Valley Christian School.

Heidi Stamper had three kills and a block and Karen Daley had three kills for Heritage (2-4, 1-1).

Liberty 3, Frederick 2

SYKESVILLE, Md. - Ashley Bush had 17 blocks and nine kills, but the Cadets missed out on their first win of the season, losing 13-15, 15-10, 5-15, 15-10, 15-11 in the CMC.

Crystal Tharp had five blocks and five kills, Ashley Sowers had seven kills and Chelsea Reidy had 17 assists for Frederick (0-5, 0-5).

JV: Liberty, 15-1, 8-15, 15-5.

Chambersburg 2, Big Spring 0

NEWVILLE, Pa. - Heather Ranck had 16 service points, including six aces, to lead the No. 1 Trojans to a 15-2, 15-13 bounce-back win.

Lori Wilkinson had seven kills and Sarah Kriner added six kills for Chambersburg (4-1), which dropped a 13-15, 15-11, 9-15 match to Gettysburg Monday night. Kriner had 13 kills - five on blocks - and 10 blocks overall in the loss.

Hyndman 2, S. Fulton 0

HYNDMAN, Pa. - Erin Bain had 11 service points and Kelly True had six kills and four blocks but the Indians (3-5, 2-4) lost a heartbreaker in the Sideling Hill League, 15-13, 16-14.

JV: S. Fulton, 15-4, 15-1.

Carlisle 2, Waynesboro 0

CARLISLE, Pa. - The No. 4 Maidens (4-2, 3-2) were surprised in the Mid Penn Commonwealth, 16-14, 15-8.

JV: Carlisle, 15-1, 15-11.


Greencastle 3, S'burg 2

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shuaiming Peng scored two goals and Micah Laughlin scored the game-winning goal as No. 4 Greencastle-Atrim edged Shippensburg.

Josh Meketa had an assist on Peng's second goal for Greencastle (5-2).

Heritage 2, CVC 1

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Cumberland Valley Christian School led 1-0 at the half on an unassisted goal by David Fidati.

Drew Kidd, assisted by Chris Knaebel, tied the game and Ryan Marquiss scored the game-winning goal for Heritage (4-1-1).

Martinsburg 2, Goretti 1

Gareth Hobbs scored Martinsburg's first goal assisted by Brian Beverly, with a few minutes left in the half.

St. Maria Goretti's (1-6) Steve Kamas tied the game. In the second half Daniel Ansari on a penalty kick scored the game-winning goal for Martinsburg (6-2-1).


St. James 3, Musselman 1

ST. JAMES - Emily Hilton scored two goals and Courtney Holzapfel had one to give St. James its first win of the season.

Teresa Pecoraro assisted on all three goals for the Saints (1-3). Meghan Harman made five saves.

Beth Fialkowski scored the only goal for Musselman (3-5).


D'Backs win

FAIRFAX, Va. - Kevin Rickerd, Dale Reed, Joe Mullini and Shawn DeWees of the Diamondbacks were named to the All Tournament team as the Diamondbacks went 8-0 to win the NSA World Series. This win gives the team eight tournament championships this year and qualifies them for the NSA Super World Series in Rockhill, S.C. in October.
