Child sex assault charges filed in Pa.

AYR TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A McConnellsburg, Pa., man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 6-year-old boy, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Christopher D. Fry, 18, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, four counts of indecent assault, three counts of indecent exposure and one count of corruption of minors, police said.

The assaults occurred at the boy's home in Ayr Township, Fulton County, police said.

Three sell liquor to underage deputy

FREDERICK, Md. - An underage Frederick County sheriff's deputy was able to buy alcohol at three of the 13 establishments during an undercover spot check Friday, police said.

Employees at Mel's Airport Inn, Mountaindale Convenience Store and Kostas Family Restaurant will be charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.


The businesses will be referred to the Frederick County Liquor Board for administrative action, police said.

The following stores were found to be in compliance with the law:

The Getty Station, Paul's Pit Stop, Main Street Grill, The Palms, The Corner Pub and Stavros Pizza in Emmitsburg, Md.; Martin's Grocery in Thurmont, Md.; and Mountaindale General Store, Spirits of Liberty and Cactus Flats in Frederick, Md.

The spot check was funded by the Frederick County Underage Drinking Prevention Task Force, operating on a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice.

City woman injured in wreck

ANTRIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A Hagerstown woman suffered minor injuries in an accident Saturday afternoon on Pa. 16 at the intersection of Long Lane, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Police said Stacie Clark was taken to Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital after the 3 p.m. crash, but the hospital had no record of treating her.

Arlene Martin of Greencastle, Pa., pulled her vehicle out of a private driveway onto Pa. 16 and into the path of a vehicle driven by William Sperry of Greencastle, Pa., police said.

Clark was a passenger in Sperry's car, police said.
