Sowers-Stamper


Ann Roney of Boonsboro and Doyle Sowers of Hagerstown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Michelle, to Jason Neil Stamper, son of Janet Brawner of Silver Spring, Md., and Andy B. Stamper of Hagerstown.

Miss Sowers is a 1995 graduate of Heritage Academy and a 1999 graduate of Messiah College. She is enrolled in the PTA program at Penn State Mont Alto. She is employed as an administrative assistant with Buildall Construction.

Mr. Stamper is a 1988 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1995 graduate of York College of Pennsylvania. He attended University of Houston Graduate School. He is president of Buildall Construction.

An Oct. 15 wedding is planned.

Van Lear-Yungwirth


Joe and Inga Yungwirth of Hagerstown, announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Sean, to Alison Lee Van Lear, daughter of Murray and Susan Van Lear of Fredericksburg, Va. Matthew is also the son of the late Catie Yungwirth.

Miss Van Lear is a 1993 graduate of James Monroe High School, a 1996 graduate of University of Virginia and a 2000 graduate of University of Georgia School of Law. She is an associate at the law firm of King and Spalding in Atlanta.

Mr. Yungwirth is a 1991 graduate of Saint Maria Goretti High School, a 1996 graduate of Georgia Tech and a 2000 graduate of University of Georgia School of Law. He is an associate with the law firm of Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta.

A June 9, 2001, wedding is planned.

High-Shank


Larry Shank and Reva High wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. High is the daughter of Timothy and Kimberly High of Clear Spring. She is a 1998 graduate of Clear Spring High School. She is a poet.

Mr. Shank is the son of Darlene and Lawrence C. Shank Sr. of Williamsport. He is a 1984 graduate of Williamsport High School. He is a 16-year volunteer fire fighter.

A Nov. 4, 2000, wedding is planned at Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsport.

Coldsmith-Helfrick


Stacey Ann Coldsmith and Bradley Eugene Helfrick wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Coldsmith is the daughter of Michael and Alisa Coldsmith of Chambersburg, Pa. She is a 2000 graduate of Faith Valley Christian School.

Mr. Helfrick is the son of David and Paula Helfrick of Zullinger, Pa. He is a 1997 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. He is employed by Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa.

A May 2001 wedding is planned.
