Martha C. Lequear

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Martha C. Lequear, 74, of 1008 Hillside Drive, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, in Greenville.

Born Oct. 5, 1925, in Hiram, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harvey H. and Amy Lodge Clevenger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. George Lequear, in 1979.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church in Greenville.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Allen of Farmville, N.C. and Nancy Perkins at home; a son, George B. Lequear of Kinston, N.C.; a brother, Mark Clevenger of McConnellsburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Lodge Gordon and Mary Alice Bohrer; and a brother, Harry James Clevenger.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St. in McConnellsburg. The Rev. Bruce Barth will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.




Viola J. Drenning

HARRISONVILLE, Pa. - Viola June Drenning, 64, of Madeline Drive, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at her home in Licking Creek Township, Pa.

Born June 30, 1936, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Leah Lumpkin Mathewson.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Robertsdale Church of God, Robertsdale, Pa.

She was a member of Penn Wheelers Camping Club, Chambersburg, Pa.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde Drenning, whom she married Dec. 15, 1957; three daughters, Shirley Bollinger, Dorene Walter and Linda Collett, all of Baltimore; a son, Dale Drenning of Berkley City, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pa. The Rev. Donald Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, RD, Waterfall, Pa.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Sunday at noon at the funeral home.
