Local roundup - Durst keeps trying to win Enduro

Kevin Durst of Hancock recovered from an early spin to win the 100-lap Championship Enduro Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway.

The two-time winner started 33rd in the 43-car field and moved up to the front pack after a multicar pileup red flagged the race. Durst was behind Kenny Thomas and Steve Lowery on the restart.

On the 50th lap, Durst went too hard into the corner and spun out. He worked his way back through the field to take the lead by the 85th lap and hung on for the $800 victory.

Meanwhile, Hagerstown's Craig Kline outlasted 13 other cars to win the 14th annual Tommy Thompson Memorial Demo Derby to win the $500 first prize.
