Debra M. Smith

DENTON, Md. - Debra Marie Smith, 41, of Denton, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at her home.

Born Jan. 30, 1959, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of James H. Smith Sr. and Delma Charlton Smith of Baltimore.

She was an office assistant for the State of Maryland Department of Health.

She was a member of Denton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, James H. Smith Jr. of Baltimore and Steven Scott Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; a niece and two nephews.

Services will be today at noon at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Boyd Frank will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Tina L. Peck

LAKELAND, Fla. - Tina Louise Peck, 38, of Lakeland, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at her home.

Born Sept. 9, 1961, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alvin Burkett Sr. and the late Jeannie V. Moore Burkett Edmonds.

She was a 1979 graduate of Clear Spring High School.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Catherine S. Burkett of Lakeland and Betty L. Peck of Hagerstown; a son, Jeffrey A. Peck Jr. of Hagerstown; three sisters, Lauri A. Burkett of Hagerstown, Michelle Edmonds and Marie Edmonds, both of Gaithersburg, Md.; three brothers, Charles A. Burkett of Hagerstown, Ernest L. Burkett of Winchester, Va. and Jose Merete of Gaithersburg; and her maternal grandmother, Emojean Moore of Williamsport.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. in Hagerstown. The Rev. James C. Mack will officiate.

Arrangements are by Rest Haven Funeral Home.




Marjorie A. Hall

PELZER, S.C. - Marjorie Anna Cravey Hall, 65, of Pelzer, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Greenville (S.C.) Memorial Hospital.

Born May 30, 1935, in Douglas, Ariz., she was the daughter of the late Charles Daniel and Evelyn Alice Bixler Cravey.

She was a housewife.

She is survived by her husband, James F. Hall; a daughter, Debra Ann Anderson of Hagerstown; three sons, Daniel Hall of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Brian Hall of Wanatah, Ind. and Timothy Hall of Pelzer; five sisters, Kathryn Logan of Sheridan, Wyo., Phillis Ropke of Nevada, Patsy Lou Thompson of Virginia, Bertha Tressler of Hagerstown and Judy Cross; two brothers, Robert T. Cravey of Tucson, Ariz. and John Cravey of Douglas; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St. in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Stanley Cordell will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Nebo Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Roland A. Webber

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Roland Atlee Webber, 69, of 605 5th Ave., died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 23, 1930, in Knoxville, Md., he was the son of the late Harley Rossel and Ellen Irene Wiltshire Webber.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Lucille Lloyd Webber, in 1994.

He retired as a production superintendent from Alpha Portland Cement Co. in Buckeystown, Md.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Gapland, Md.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Webber Sr. of San Antonio and Michael A. Webber of Florence, S.C.; a brother, Harley Webber of Brunswick; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Gapland. The Rev. Wendell McClellan will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Road, Gapland, MD 21758.

John A. Main

FREDERICK, Md. - John Austin Main, 73, of Citizens Nursing Home, and formerly of 8906 Hawbottom Road, Middletown, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at the home.

Born April 22, 1927, in Hawbottom, Md., he was the son of the late Roy Edgar and Amy Viola Ropp Main.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Smith Main, in 1989.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown.

He was a member of Patriotic Club; Loyal Order of Moose 371; and Valley Memorial Post 9 AMVETS of Middletown.

He is survived by four children, Judy Ann Fogle of Frederick, Eddie L. Main and John D. Main, both of Middletown and Joan D. Nolan of Pittsburg, Calif.; a sister, Betty Renn of Frederick; a brother, Paul B. Main of Frederick; three grandchildren; and two aunts.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Main.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St. in Middletown. The Rev. Donald L. Turley will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Middletown.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Donn D. Hockensmith Sr.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donn D. Hockensmith Sr., 91, of 370 Wayne Ave., died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.
