State gives grant for after school programs
The Washington County Community Partnership for Children and Families, formerly the Local Management Board, received $103,000 in state funds to oversee after school programs for middle school students.
The grant is from the Maryland Department of Human Resources Child Care Administration, according to John Budesky, WCCP's director.
After school services include programs held before or after school and on weekends or during the summer.
Organizations interested in providing after school services can apply for portions of the grant now.
