League championship set

The Hagerstown Braves and Chambersburg (Pa.) Rockies will meet in Game 1 of the league's best-of-7 final series tonight at 6 at Hagerstown Community College.

Game 2 will be Wednesday at 6 at HCC, and games 3-4 will be at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Henninger Field in Chambersburg. If necessary, Game 5 will be at HCC at 2 Saturday; Game 6 will be at Henninger at 2 Sunday and Game 7 would be at 6 Monday at HCC.

Maugansville 6, Halfway 1: Anthony Sandonato threw a no-hitter with seven strikeouts and Brett Blume and Sean Guy homered for Maugansville.

Thurman Smith Tourney

Valley 11, Federal 9: Joey Baer, Jay Shafer, and Matt Baer had two hits to lead Valley. For Federal, Jeff Wentzell had 10 strikeouts and Paul Widmeyer had two hits.

American 9, National 8: Billy Campbell had three hits and struck out seven to lead American. Chris Smith led National with three hits and Tyrell Wilson and Robby Suddith had two hits.

Sharpsburg 7, Maugansville 4: Tyler Marshall struck out seven to lead Sharpsburg. Branden Glazer struck out 12 and had two hits for Maugansville.

Hagerstown Area Church

Otterbein 15, New Life 3: Mike Grimm had four hits to lead Otterbein. Kenny Hilker, Josh Trumpower, Larry Wisherd, Kevin Walters, and Rodney Baker all added three hits.

Christ Lutheran 17, Williamsport Assembly of God 5: Curtis Berry homered and Jeff Kelly and Mike Fitzgerald had three hits to lead Christ Lutheran. Jodie Kelbaugh and Dan Jordan had three hits each for Williamsport.

Tristate Fellowship 24, Hagerstown Church of the Bretheran 15: James Knodle and Billy Payne had five hits and Todd Street and Mike Kelbaugh had four hits to lead Tristate. Joel Duffey had four hits and John Kauffman had three hits for Hagerstown.

Hub City/Pinesburg

Freddie's 17, Siegfried 7: Ken McCallister and Barry Willard had four hits each, with each adding a home run, to lead Freddie's. Donny Rupe also had four hits.

Freddie's 5, Lenox 4: Troy Barnhart, Todd Mobley, and Sicky Shamrock had two hits each to lead Freddie's.

Siegfried's Pest Control 13, Osbornes/Wilberts 11: Scott Berger, Dave Barnes and Marlin Michael all had four hits to lead Siegfried's. Dave Barnes also homered.
