City approves $350,000 in contracts



Approximately $350,000 in contracts, including agreements to purchase new playground equipment for the Hamilton Homes playground and redo the front of the City Light Department office building, were unanimously approved by the Hagerstown City Council last week.

L&S Stone in Greencastle, Pa., was awarded a $39,346 contract to install precast stone facing to cover the front facade of the City Light Department building at 425 E. Baltimore St.

GameTime c/o West Recreation Inc. in Chestertown, Md. was awarded a $15,713 contract for new playground equipment for Hamilton Homes playground.

Other contracts approved included one for $46,846 with Alfred Hobbs in Hagerstown for rehabilitation of 450 N. Prospect St. through the city's Single Family Homeownership Program and another for $143,000 with C. William Hetzer Inc. in Hagerstown for the city's annual street repaving program.
