Engagement Announcements for 7/29


Amanda Lynne Colbert of Middletown, Md., and Shaun Matthew Gibney of Hagerstown announce their engagement.

Ms. Colbert is the daughter of Butch and Cindy Colbert of Middletown. She is a 1999 graduate of Middletown High School. She is employed by The Frederick Motor Co.

Mr. Gibney is the son of Barbara Gibney of Hagerstown and Lloyd Gibney of Funkstown. He is a 1997 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Washington County Career Studies Center. He is employed at Morningstar Foods Inc. in Frederick, Md.

A Sept. 1, 2001, wedding in Frederick is planned.


Jennifer E. Kerslake and Bryon S. Bereano wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Kerslake is the daughter of Eileen Kerslake of Hagerstown and Richard Kerslake of Frederick, Md. Mr. Bereano is the son of Sandra Jaffe of Rockville, Md., and Bruce Bereano of Annapolis.


Ms. Kerslake is a 1989 graduate of Heritage Academy and received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Evangel College in Springfield, Mo. She has a master's degree in political theory from Georgetown University. She is news editor for Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Bereano is a 1990 graduate of Walter Johnson High School and received a bachelor's degree in American government from University of Virginia. He has a juris doctor from University of Baltimore and was recently sworn into the Maryland Bar. He is a law clerk for Prince George's County Circuit Court.

An August wedding is planned.


Sam and Peggy Trace of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Michele Lynn Trace, to Larry Edward Dorsey, son of Larry Eugene Dorsey of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Norma Jean Jones with the parental help of James Edward Russ, both of Hagerstown.

Ms. Trace is a 1994 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1997 graduate of Hagerstown Business College. She is employed by Washington County Hospital in the emergency department.

Mr. Dorsey is a 1990 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He is employed by Martin's Food on Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown.

A 2001 wedding is planned.
