Pony 14-Year-Old Regional

Hagerstown 14, Neo Continental 9: David Miner and Tim Kellinger had three hits each to lead Hagerstown to victory. Miner had a triple, while T.J. Hose, Andy May, and Drew Crawford added two hits each.

Hagerstown faces Tri/T. North at 11 a.m. today.

River City Classic

West End 8, Conococheague 7: Henry Fitzgerald had two hits and Jodie McElroy was the winning pitcher for West End. Eric Willfong and John Mason had two hits in a losing cause.

West End will play at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Conococheague.

7-8 All Stars

West End 20, Sharpsburg 5: Dwight Boward struck out seven and went 4-for-4 with a homer to lead West End. Seth Near amd Casey Shiffler had two hits.


South Mountain 19, Clear Spring 16: Troy Hartle had four hits and four RBI and Sean Colgan and Jamie Firnhaber had three hits and two RBI to lead South Mountain. Anthony Hollis and Bradley Etzler had two hits and two RBI. For Clear Spring, Nate Golden drove in three runs and Bradley Jordan, Eric Ecton, Cody Englehart, and Taylor Leanord had two RBI.

Brandenburg Tournament

American 7, Burnswick 6: Dominique Byrd had two hits, and Chris Bell had two hits, including the game-winner in the eighth inning, to lead American. Austin Darling went 4-for-4 and Tyler Roberts had two hits for Brunswick.

National 13, Conococheague 11: Louis Anderson and Richard Roby had two hits to lead National.


Hagerstown Morning Softball

Classic Upholstery and Glass 15, Tony's 14: Troy Englehart went 4-for-4 with two home runs as Classic Upholstery and Glass won the tournament championship. Duke Scott and Willie Binson also added homers for the winners.

Hagerstown Church Softball

Maranatha/Virginia Avenue Church of God 26, Hagerstown Church of the Brethren 9: Jason Gladhill, Smiley Jackson, Cliff Miles, Mike Shank, Michael Pickeral and Bobby Hays all had four hits, and Hays homered, to lead Maranatha.

Gateway 20, Christ Reform 19: Chris Baker, Randy Edwards, Kevin Hose, Ed Martin, Tim Hose and Dale Yost all had four hits to lead Gateway.

Hub City/Pinesburg

Craig's Paving 31, Corby's 17: Mick Byers had seven hits and Mel Weaver and Lewis Thomas had five to lead Craig's Paving. Steve Mc-Kemmy, Rick Christian, and Brad Weaver had four hits, while Byers, Mel Weaver, McKemmy, Christian and Jeff Schlotterbeck all homered.

Lynn's Convenience Store 21, Farm and Family Insurance 11: Terry Getridge, Mike McCauley and Kevin Kretzer had four hits for Lynn's. Kevin Weddle, Mike Wade and Chuck Kretzer added three hits, with Getridge and McCauley homering.

Dual Highway Motors 19-10, Budweiser 13-2: Jeff Perla had four hits to lead Dual Highway to victory in Game 1. Jack Duffey, Eric White, Brian Selby and Kevin Fooler had three hits. In Game 2, White had four hits and Selby had three hits.

Firestone 16, Stouffer's 6: Todd Smith went 5-for-5 and Frank Hood, Dick Dayhoff, Mike Lay and Brian Higgins added three hits to lead Firestone.

Firestone 21, Lennox 9: Todd Stocks went 5-for-5 to lead Firestone. Frank Hood and Tim Wiley added three hits and Todd Ricker homered.

J&W Mechanical 18, Panfers 8: Phil Fox had three hits, including a home run, and Jeff Seilhamer and Matt Moats had three hits to lead J&W. Rob Hannon, Brian Conrad and Chad Turner all added two hits.


George Morris aced the 153-yard seventh hole with a 7-iron at Muni-cipal Golf Course. Morris, who began playing in May after a 20-year absence from the game, was accompanied by Joe McGhee.
