American Express Financial Advisors has appointed Massimo Colella, of Hagerstown, to financial advisor.

Financial advisors focus on financial, protection, investment, income tax, retirement and estate planning.

American Express Financial Advisors also helps businesses develop strategies for managing assets and cash flow, business continuation and employee and executive benefits.

L.S. Grim Consulting Engineers

L.S. Grim Consulting Engineers has been commissioned by AGG International of Bethesda, Md., to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems design services for the Redwood Center, a Hampton Inn and Suites project in downtown Baltimore.

The completed project will have 197,000 square feet and includes a parking garage and two wings, one wing with 12 stories and the other with eight stories.


The firm is a full service mechanical and electrical engineering practice with an office in Hagerstown.

McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond has announced the promotion of certified public accountants Barbara K. Walker to manager and Eric J. Bohn to senior accountant.

Walker, of Middletown, Md., has six years experience in auditing and accounting primarily for closely held businesses, non-profit organizations, cable companies, health care organizations and long-term care organizations.

Bohn, of Westminster, Md., works in the firm's Frederick, Md., office. He has four years experience in public accounting including participation in corporate audits, review and compilations. He also has experience in preparing corporate, partnership and individual tax returns; financial statements and forecasts; and audits and pension plans.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Nicki Oberholzer has joined Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA's Waynesboro office as a sales associate.

The Waynesboro-area resident received her license from the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission earlier this month.

Mastiano, of Hagerstown, has more than two decades of banking experience.

Maryland State Police

Trooper Steven P. Boswell recently graduated from the 114th Maryland State Police Academy Class in Pikesville, Md.

While attending the six-month live-in academy, Boswell took two first place shooting awards and was honored with the Top Gun Award as the academy's overall first place shooter.

Frederick Police Department

FREDERICK, Md. - The City of Frederick has promoted three members of the Frederick Police Department to sergeant and three to corporal.

Sgt. Wayne L. Trapp, 33, is a 61/2-year veteran. He has served in the Patrol Division and Special Tactical Operations Patrol. He is currently assigned to the Community Services Division.

Sgt. Earl Rocca, 34, is a 51/2-year veteran. He has served in the Patrol Division and is currently assigned to the Community Services Division.

Sgt. William Burch, 34, is an 111/2-year veteran. He has served in the Patrol Division and the Special Operations Division, where he worked as a traffic officer and K-9 handler. He is currently assigned to the Drug Enforcement Unit.

Cpl. Joseph Bourke, 37, is a 111/2-year veteran. He has served in the Patrol Division, Operation Zero Tolerance and Community Services. He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.

Cpl. Michael Klingensmith, 37, is a 10-year veteran. He has served in the Patrol Division, Operation Zero Tolerance, the Warrant Squad, the Special Response Team and as a K-9 Handler. He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.

Cpl. Thomas Pfarr, 37, is a 12-year veteran. He has served in the Patrol Division and Community Services and has been a bicycle and motorcycle officer. He is currently assigned to Community Services.

FREDERICK, Md. - Mackintosh Realtors' Frederick office recently announced its top sales associates for June.

Brian Greenberg was Top Lister, while Ken Breen earned Top Producer and Top Sales Professional honors.
