David W. Fitzgibbons

FREDERICK, Md. - David William Fitzgibbons, 90, of 102 Mercer Court, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at the home of Louise Thompson in Frederick.

Born April 3, 1910, in Little Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late David and Julia Ferrell Fitzgibbons.

He graduated as salutatorian of St. Mary's Academy in Little Falls Class of 1928. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in college and lettered in track.

He was president and CEO of W.S. Cornell Construction Co., Bladensburg, Md., retiring in 1994.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community, and attended Zion Lutheran Church, both of Middletown, Md.

He was a member of Columbia Country Club, Chevy Chase, Md.; B.P.O. Elks 3684 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 371, both in Frederick; and Knights of Columbus Lodge 2473 in Arlington, Va.

He is survived by his friend of 30 years, Louise V. Thompson of Frederick; a niece, Jacqueline Fitzgibbons of Little Falls; a nephew, David L. Fitzgibbons of Manchester, N.H.; three great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Fitzgibbons; and a sister, Ann.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown. The Rev. William M. Bucher will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown; and Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church. Visitation and services also will be held at Eneas Funeral Home, Little Falls. Burial will in St. Mary's Cemetery, Little Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702-1799.

Evelyn C. Sinnisen

KEEDYSVILLE - Evelyn Clopper Sinnisen, 82, of 97 N. Main St., died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at her home.

Born March 25, 1918, in Keedysville, she was the daughter of the late John W. Sr. and Flossie M. Clopper Long.

Her husband, Richard Roger Sinnisen, died Dec. 7, 1994.

She was formerly employed with M.P. Moller Organ Co., Fairchild Aircraft and Montgomery Ward, all in Hagerstown. She retired in 1980 from the Keedysville Post Office.

She was a member of First Christian Church of Boonsboro, was a former deaconess and Sunday school teacher.

She was a member of Clopper-Michael Post 10 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Boonsboro, National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 0306 and treasurer of Boonsboro Food Bank.

She is survived by five sisters, Hazel C. Leatherman of Sharpsburg, Irene E. Pound, Nancy L. Guyer and Patsy L. Slick, all of Keedysville, and Frances E. Reeder of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Howard F. Long of Boonsboro; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William R. Long and John W. Long Jr.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. John Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Keedysville.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Virginia M. Weller

HANCOCK - Virginia M. Weller, 76, of Orchard Ridge Road, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at the home of her daughter, Joyce Fields of Hykes Road in Greencastle, Pa.

Born May 17, 1924, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin R. and Bessie Hoke Weller.

Her husband, Clarence W. Weller, died March 8, 1990.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Orchard Ridge First Church of God and Women's Ministries of Orchard Ridge.

She was caretaker and treasurer of Orchard Ridge Cemetery for 50 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Fields of Greencastle, Kay Clark of Hagerstown and Darlene Dreyer of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Leona Fritz of Mercersburg, Pa.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Fritz, and Edna Frohnaple; and three brothers, Roy Weller, Geary Weller and John Weller.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock. The Rev Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 142 W. Main St., Hancock, and Friday at 10 a.m. at the church.

Mary L. Cramer

FREDERICK, Md. - Mary Louise Bratt Cramer, 67, of 103 Mount Olivet Blvd., died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born Nov. 4, 1932, in Brunswick, Md., she was the daughter of the late C. Arthur and Willie V. McGaha Bratt.
