Lynn B. Mowers

Lynn Brenneman Mowers, 93, formerly of Potomac Towers in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 21, 1906, in Shippensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Edgar and Emma Brenneman Mowers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Wiles Mowers.

He retired as a delivery man.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by four nieces, Jean Landis of Harrisburg, Pa., Joanne Ryan, Jean Gysberts and Janet Carter, all of Hagerstown.

He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and a nephew.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Middletown, Md. The Rev. William M. Bucher, associate pastor of the church, will officiate.

Zeth A. Physioc

SHARPSBURG - Zeth Alan Physioc, infant son of Richard Corbin of Mount Airy, Md., and Gwen Susan Hartman Physioc of Sharpsburg, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

He was born June 26, 2000, in Hagerstown.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jonathan Wesley Physioc, at home; maternal grandfather, George Hartman of Hagerstown; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Corbin of Monrovia, Md.; paternal grandfather, Dave Corbin of Frederick, Md.; maternal great-grandmother, Elva Mae Vance of Hagerstown; and aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Vanna Norlene Hartman.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Rexrode will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown.

Lillian M. Ayers

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lillian M. Ayers, 72, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Home in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born April 20, 1928, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Constance Bushong Doering.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Moses Ayers.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina Wilt of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sisters, Irene Bennett of Wheeling, W.Va. and Alice Siegert of Baltimore; two brothers, Roland Doering and Butch Doering, both of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Martin Jr.; a sister, Delores Lanham; and a brother, Charles Doering.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. Pastors Don Smith and Thomas Tennis will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty A. Myers

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Betty A. Myers, 67, of Middletown, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at her home.

Born Nov. 4, 1932, in Garfield, Md., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Viola Bear Smith.

She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Myersville, Md.

She is survived by her husband, Charles O. Myers; two sons, Rodney J. Myers and Raymond Kim Myers, both of Middletown; a sister, Nellie Kline of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ruth Myers Frendo.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Myersville. The Rev. Randall Reid will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Charles M. Schleigh Jr.

Charles McGill Schleigh Jr., 71, of the Western Maryland Center in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Jan. 28, 1929, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles McGill Schleigh Sr. and Catherine Margaret Deuter Schleigh.

He was employed by Hagerstown Bookbinding and Printing Co.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He was a member of American Legion Funkstown Post 211; and AARP.

He is survived by a sister, Kathleen Gossard of Hagerstown; two brothers, Robert G. Schleigh of Hagerstown and Thomas A. Schleigh of San Antonio; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Schleigh.

Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Jackie L. Corbett III

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Jackie Loy Corbett III, 19, of 246 Appaloosa Drive, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at his home.

Born Dec. 21, 1980, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Jackie Loy Corbett II of Florida and Jean Louise McCormick of Falling Waters.
