Ex-boyfriend charged in gun-pointing incident

June 20, 2000

An April 12 incident in which a gun was pointed at a Hagerstown woman has led to charges being filed against her former boyfriend, according to Washington County sheriff's deputies.

William Randolph Heise, 21, of 7709 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, has been charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment, court records said.

The victim, Christina Delgaudhio, told deputies she went out to get her mail that day in front of her home at 17601 Broadfording Road, court records said.

While she was at the mailbox, she spotted a car with two people inside, one of whom was Heise, her former boyfriend.

She told deputies Heise said something to her and then pointed a gun at her, court records alleged. Frightened, she went back into the house.

Heise was jailed Monday, jail officials said. It wasn't known why two months passed before he was picked up.

Heise appeared Tuesday in Washington County District Court for a review of his $50,000 bond, which was left unchanged, court records said.
