George E. Klick

George Eugene Klick, 86, of 529 Antietam St., Hagerstown, who died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, was employed by Lonestar Cement Co. as financial secretary for the Union, retiring in 1977 after 45 years.

H. Lorraine Wile

MONT ALTO, Pa. - H. Lorraine Mong Wile, 55, of 6 Penn St., died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert L. Basom will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, at the convenience of the family.

Daniel M. Madrid

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Daniel M. Madrid, 43, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at City Hospital.

Born June 21, 1956, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Joan Carey Leeworthy of Martinsburg and the late Edward Leeworthy.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cynthia Fletcher Madrid; a daughter, Megan Madrid, at home; three sons, Matthew Madrid of Georgetown, Del., David Madrid and Brandon Madrid, both of Boston; a sister, Linda Dick of Martinsburg; and two brothers, John Madrid of Martinsburg and Michael Leeworthy of Norfolk, Va.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Burial will be private.

 

Chester L. Ray

HANCOCK - Chester Loman Ray, 81, of Center Street, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at his home.

Born Dec. 19, 1918, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late William Frederick and Annie Mann Ray.

His wife, Edith M. Barnhart Ray, died Dec. 21,1997.

He was a retired drill operator for C. William Hetzer Inc., Hagerstown.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in World War II.

He was a member of Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion, and VFW Post 10502 Hancock.

He is survived by three sisters, Mae Hull and Goldie Barnhart, both of Hancock, and Orintha Mills of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a brother, Ernest Ray of Hancock; nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Lemuel D. Osborne Jr.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Lemuel Dewitt Osborne Jr., 89, of 15725 S. Young Road, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Colton Villa Nursing Center. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Rod Spade will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Church of God Cemetery.

John M. Quesenberry

MIDDLEWAY, W.Va. - John Matthew Quesenberry, 67, of Middleway, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born March 21, 1933, in Sprague, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jess R. and Bessie E. Morris Quesenberry.

He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Beckley College, both in Beckley, W.Va.

He retired in 1995 from AT&T Co.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet L. Brown Quesenberry; a daughter, Theresa E. Shirley of Middleway; a sister, Lula Belle Cuthbert of Coal City, W.Va.; a brother, James Quesenberry of Lynchburg, Va.; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Gay Quesenberry; a sister, Elaine Good Quesenberry; and a brother, Charles Good.

There will be no services.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, at any time.

The family requests that no flowers be sent and that friends and co-workers enjoy an evening out with loved ones in remembrance of him.

Arrangements are by Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, W.Va.

David E. Kuhn

David Ernst Kuhn, 56, of Summerland Manor, Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at his home.

Born Feb. 11, 1944, in Cut Bank, Mont., he was the son of Majorie Leah Ernst Kuhn of Hagerstown and the late Lloyd Richard Kuhn.

He was retired from working with Medicaid for the government in Washington, D.C.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Christopher Lloyd Kuhn of Silver Spring, Md.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert C. Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Martha A. Coblentz

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Martha Ahalt Coblentz, 98, of 4525 Deer Spring Road, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at her home.

Born Nov. 16, 1901, in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Foster and Sara Virginia Shank Ahalt.

Her husband, W. Kieffer Coblentz, died July 2, 1981.

She was a farm wife.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
