Mason-DIxon Tournament

The Middletown Crew, representing the Middletown Soccer Club, won the U-13 girls division of the Mason-Dixon Tournament, defeating the Epic Thunderbirds 3-0 in the championship game.

Alley Shannon, Angie Harvey, and Sarah Keyser each scored goals to lead the Crew to their championship game victory.

The Crew scored 15 goals in their four-game run, while goalies Jenny Wheeler and Samantha Beard held each opponent scoreless.

Conococheague Little League

Redmen 5, Post 202 0: Aerik Taylor hurled a perfect game with 15 strikeouts to lead Redmen. Joe Filer and Adam Taylor had two hits.

Federal Little League

Lions 7, American Legion 3: Todd Cox had three hits and Cody Henson pitched a complete game to lead Lions. Joe Bowers and Michael Lancaster had two hits for American Legion.


Hagerstown Colt League

Eagles 12, Henson 1: Matt Mastaino, Tommy Jesson and Milton Stamper had two hits for Eagles. Jesson threw a three-hitter.

Clear Spring Minor League

Yankees 9, Cubs 6: Kary Bryan struck out six and Charles Bryan had two hits for the Yankees. Chris Sylvester doubled for the winners, while Jeffrey Elliolt had two hits for the Cubs.

West End Minor League

St. Lawrence 10, Woodpoint 9: Michael Dofflemyer had a hit for St. Lawrence. Dustin Rowland, Aaron Stoner and Shawn Koontz had two hits for Woodpoint.

Sharpsburg Little League

Company One 11, Keystone Finance 3: Michael Dowell had four hits and Andy Seabright had three hits, including two doubles, Matt Guenther added two hits and Curtis Wolfe homered for Company One. Logan Hintze had two hits for Keystone.

Washington Co. Babe Ruth League

Rowland's 12, Pro Fab 8: Justin Mills went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs and R.J. Mitchell added two hits for Rowland's. Mooch Harshman had two hits for ProFab.

American Little League

Goodwill 4, Funkstown Legion 3: Mike Dunham hit the game-winning home run for Goodwill. Josh Zittle and Jeff Porter combined on a three-hitter with six strikeouts and Lucas Lichtenburg had two hits. Demetrius Stubbs threw a five-hitter with four strikeouts for Funkstown.

Eagles 2, Elks 1: Robert Snowden tossed a one-hitter with 16 strikeouts for Eagles. Cadyn Robinson threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts and had the only hit for Elks.

Maugansville Little League

Ruritan 2, Executone 1: Scott Keeney threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts for Ruritan. For Executone, Timmy Shanholtz had two hits and Anthony Sandonato struck out nine.

South County Junior League

Aladdin Awards 5, Post 10 3: Joe Heaney had two hits to lead Aladdin. D.J. Wilson homered for Post 10.

Junior Interleague

Wilson Ruritan 12, Williamsport Redmen 7: Brandon Yost had three hits to lead Wilson Ruritan. Joe Kissner and Andy Ogle added two hits and Cody Hartle homered.

West End Lttle League

Coke 25, Stags 12: David Richards and Dustin Boward had three hits apiece with Richards hitting two home runs to lead Coke. Zach Koontz and Brock Randall added two hits each. Chase Worthingon had two hits for Stags.

National Little League

AMVETS 8, Elks 2: Marcellus Sumlin was the winning pitcher for AMVETS, striking out nine hitters in a complete game. Sumlin, Ricky Collins and Zeke Ricketts each had two hits.

Derrick Hendershot had three hits and Sean Marriner had two for Elks.

Hagerstown Pony League

F&M 7, Eagles 6: David Miner and Tim Kellinger combined on a five-hitter for F&M, striking out 10. Miner had three hits, including the game-winner. Andy May had two hits, including a home run.

Shawn Mullen and Kyle Robinson homered for Eagles. T.J. Bowser had two hits.

Halfway Junior League

Redmen 12, 4 Star 2: Eric McPherson had three hits. John Hose and Ben Smith had two hits each. Tyler Jones homered and pitched a complete game two-hitter.

Halfway Little League

Valley Storage Bin 7, Redmen 4: Bryson Cordelli and Tyler Spigler had two hits each for Valley Storage Bin. Eric Spielman had two hits for Redmen.

South Mountain Little League

Pete's Barber Shop 16, Thompson's 6: Daniel Perkins and Adam Flook combined on a five-hitter to lead Pete's. Scott Race had the game-winning RBI. Brandon Rohrer, Travis Hahn and Tyler Fath had two hits each. Todd Potter hit a three-run homer for Thompson's.

Washington County Girls Softball

AFSCME 21, Halfway Electric 17: Amanda Gunter, Cara Jordan, Courtney Whorten, Heather Scott-Fagan and Brianna Hammond had two or more hits apiece for AFSCME.

Halley Growden, Amy Clipp, Amy Matonek and Kimmy Horchner had two or more hits each for Halfway Electric.


Hub City/Pinesburg Softball

Stadium Grill and Pub 15, Dual Highway 1: Eric Andrews and Eric Leather each had four hits, including a homer, for Stadium Grill and Pub. Brian Smith also had four hits while Chris Weaver launched two homers and Greg McCoy had one home run.

Farm Family Insurance 27, Hatch & Kirk 13: Sid Shupp, Dave Moss and Cotton Crawford had four hits each for Farm Family. Brad Anders hit for the cycle and Steve Presgraves homered.
