Anniversary annoucements for June 10

The Michaels

Leon L. and Margaret F. Wishard Michael of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, April 7, 2000. A surprise party was given in their honor at Leitersburg Grange Hall by their three children and spouses, Pam and Kraig Barnhart, Melinda and Gary Thompson and Rory and Lori Michael, all of Hagerstown. Approximately 100 friends and family were in attendance.

The Michaels were married April 7, 1950, at Emmanuel United Brethren Church in Hagerstown by Pastor Russell Oyer.

Mrs. Michael is the former Margaret Wishard, daughter of the late Glenn and Lena Wishard. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Michael is the son of Vallie Dennis of Hagerstown and the late Roy Michael. He was employed by Brandt Cabinet Works for many years and later operated his own business, Michael's Antiques and Refinishing.

They have three grandsons.

The Itnyres

Mr. and Mrs. Ross L. Itnyre of Hagerstown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, March 25, 2000, at a family dinner party.

The Itnyres' children and spouses, Peggy and George Mongan of Hagerstown and C. Ross and Marlene Itnyre of Falling Waters, W.Va., planned the celebration.

The Itnyres were married March 24, 1940 by the Rev. G.I. Rider, now deceased.

Mrs. Itnyre retired from Howard's Art and Frame. Mr. Itnyre retired from Pangborn Corp.

They have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The Millers

Mr. and Mrs. Edward K. Miller of Pleasant View Heights in Washington County recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at The Whiffletree Farm, home of their daughter, Rachel Covington, near Warrenton, Va.

Out-of-state family and friends attended the sit-down dinner prepared by the Millers' children. Their daughter, Susan Schnebley prepared the three-tier white raspberry/pound cake.

The event included opening of gifts and flowers, games by the grandchildren and a tour of the horse stables.
