Gary R. Waugh

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Gary R. Waugh, 53, of Route 4, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home.

Born Oct. 4, 1946, in Brosious, W.Va., he was the son of the late John R. and Orpha V. Plotner Waugh.

He was a 1968 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He had been employed as a welder with JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, Pa.

He was a member of Alpine United Methodist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Dwayne R. Waugh of Maugansville, Dion V. Waugh of Williamsport and Coby Waugh of Hancock; one sister, Portia Truax of Chambersburg, Pa.; and three grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Alpine United Methodist Cemetery in Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Steve Dawson will officiate.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Memorial donations may be made to Hancock Volunteer Fire Co., Fulton Street, Hancock, MD 21750; or to Hancock Rescue Squad Inc., 14734 Warfordsburg Road, Hancock, MD 21750.

Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home in Hancock.

Glenn E. George

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Glenn E. George, 67, of 1866 Scotland Ave., died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at his home.

Born Aug. 16, 1932, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Vera B. Farren George of Chambersburg and the late Glenn B. George.

He had worked in the laundry department of Chambersburg Hospital.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in the Korean War.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Eyer George, whom he married June 27, 1959; two daughters, Denise Marie Rhodes of Marina, Calif., and Teresa Lynch of Chambersburg; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Daniel H. Kelchner will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, with military services by Chambersburg VFW Post 1599.

The family will receive friends Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Bethany Jackson

WINCHESTER, Va. - Bethany Jackson, infant daughter of Eric Wayne and Tammy Dee Erb Jackson of Winchester, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Winchester Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Cara Jackson, at home; two brothers, Reuben Jackson and Joseph Jackson, both at home; maternal grandparents, Wayne L. Sr. and Deborah A. Erb of Spring Grove, Pa.; paternal grandparents, Joe and Barbara Jackson of Sutton, W.Va.; maternal great-grandparents, George and Alice Mae Erb of Hanover, Pa., and Kenneth R. Sr. and Ruby E. Stevens of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Aaron Paul Jackson, in 1995.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Holiness Church of Jesus Christ, Tabor Road in Berkeley Springs. The Rev. John W. Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Route 522 South of Berkeley Springs.

The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Arrangements are by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.

Jerry B. Leatherman

Jerry Blair Leatherman, 40, of 707 Queen Anne's Court, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 10, 1960, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Bruce Vernon Leatherman of Hagerstown and the late Verda Elizabeth Strite Leatherman.

He was a member of Springfield Presbyterian Church in Eldersburg, Md.

He was a member of Community Rescue Service Co. 75 in Hagerstown.

In addition to his father, he is survived by one sister, Joyce R. Hobson of Eldersburg; three foster sisters, Susan Kersh Miller and Sandra Myers, both of Hagerstown, and Nina Kersh of Sharpsburg; one niece and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce L. Leatherman.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Gretchen Utz will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

John F. Judd Jr.

Memorial services will be held Saturday for John Frank Judd Jr., 77, of Englewood, Fla., who died Thursday, May 11, 1999.

He was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Charles Town, W.Va.

He was a machinist with the Naval Research Laboratory.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He attended Englewood United Methodist Church.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge Kemper No. 64 in Falls Church, Va., and Myakka Pines Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna Judd; one daughter, Saralynn Pinson of Denton, Texas; one son, John F. Judd III of Indianapolis; one sister, Mary Buxton of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial services will be conducted by Kemper-Maco Ware Lodge 64 of Falls Church, Va., Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Michael B. Kolich

Michael Barron Kolich, 46, of 20222 American Way, who died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, is also survived by a son, Chad Kolich.
