L. Thelma Kerlin

ORBISONIA, Pa. - L. Thelma Kerlin, 95, a resident of Woodland Nursing Home, and formerly of Hann's Apartments, McConnellsburg, Pa., died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at the Home.

Born Dec. 4, 1904, in Six Mile Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Martha Jane McIntyre Gates.

Her husband, Otis P. Kerlin, died Sept. 14, 1980.

She was a housekeeper.

She is survived by a sister, Majorie Davis of Pittsburgh and a grandson, Scott Kerlin of Tacoma, Wash.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Majorie Kerlin; a son, Otis P. Kerlin Jr.; sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg. The Rev. Donald Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Florence I. Diffenderfer

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Florence I. Diffenderfer, 92, of Menno-Haven, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in Menno-Haven.

Born Jan. 15, 1908, in Rocky Spring, LetterkennyTownship, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John M. and Katie R. Horst Schaeffer.

Her husband, Kenneth N. Diffenderfer, died Feb. 17, 1978.

In her early life she was employed as a L.P.N. in Chambersburg Hospital for a number of years and later become a private duty nurse.

She was a member of Salem United Brethren Church.

She was a member of AARP 2840 and a life member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered with Chambersburg Toy Mission for many years.

She is survived by a sister, Elsie Overcash of Chambersburg, a brother, John Schaeffer of Shippensburg, Pa.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Ronald L. Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 43 West Washington Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Ronnie B. Minnick

KNOXVILLE - Ronnie Baker Minnick, 65, of 19700 Frog Eye Road, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at his home.

Born Nov. 28, 1934, in Middletown, Md., he was the son of the late Charles Stanley and Irene Elizabeth Baker Minnick.

He was retired as a plumber with North American Housing, Point of Rocks, Md.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by six sisters, Dorothy Himes, of Weverton, Md., Evelyn House of Boonsboro, Bonnie Jackson of Myersville, Md., Patsy Roelkey of Knoxville, Kitty Lydard of Jefferson, Md., and Connie Harman of Braddock Heights, Md., and his ex-wife, Linda Minnick of Boonsboro.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown.

A. Margaret Ricker

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A. Margaret Ricker, 87, of 200 N. Main St., died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Jan. 26, 1913, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Ira F. and Emma Wenger Foust.

Her first husband, John W. Kirkpatrick, died in 1965. Her second husband, Albert Ricker, died in 1985.

She was employed as a seamstress at the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg, for over 35 years.

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

She was a member of Jolly 60's, Golden Age Club, AARP and Chambersburg Mall Walkers.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet L. Zeigler of Chambersburg; three sisters, Ruth Bless and Alice Burkholder, both of Chambersburg, and Emma Bless of Wilmington, Del.; two brothers, Ira F. Foust Jr. of Shippensburg, Pa., and Wilbur Foust of Chambersburg; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Kirkpatrick in 1986, a sister and seven brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Daryl M. Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Ruth J. Elliott

Ruth Joann Litton Elliott, 67, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 10, 1933, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late David W. Sr. and Mildred Ruth Lowe Litton.

She was employed with Adult Care of Washington County in Hagerstown.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Mennonite Church near Boonsboro.
