CEARFOSS - Four people were injured when a car collided two other vehicles on Cearfoss Pike west of Garden View Road Sunday morning, Maryland State Police said.

Police said Marilyn Barrick was driving a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus LX west on Md. 58 at 9:28 a.m. when it crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road.

Her car came back onto the road and crossed into the westbound lane, then crossed the center line again and sideswiped a 1997 Buick LeSabre driven by William Staley east on Md. 58, police alleged.

Barrick's car continued west in the eastbound lane and crashed head-on into a 1999 Honda Civic driven by Robert Stouffer, police alleged.

Barrick, 40, of 241 W. Main St., Hancock, was in serious condition at the Washington County Hospital.

Staley, 56, and his passenger, Mary Jane Staley, 53, both of 16302 Shinham Road, Hagerstown, were treated at Washington County Hospital and released.
