HCC graduates receive awards

A number of Hagerstown Community College graduates received recognition for outstanding achievements Saturday at the college's commencement ceremony.

- Staci Turner, Washington County Hospital Nursing Alumnae Association award for being the nursing student with the highest academic standing.

- Jennifer Jacobs and Beth Hull, Radiological Technology Faculty award for outstanding academic and clinical achievement.

- Kim Kipe, Science Faculty Award for outstanding achievement in a science major. Melissa March and Chris Leasure were runners-up.

- Cindy Clements, Brandelyn Green, Adam Greivell, Dennis Leatherman, Paul Mason II, Kimberly Rowe, Abigail Salawage, Barbara Tisony, Belinda Vinson and Stacey Welch received Scholastic Honors Awards for graduating with 4.0 grade point averages.

- Rebecca Elgin, Campus Leadership Award.

- Ros Fisher, Outstanding Scholar Athlete Award.

- Pepper Ballard, Hawk Student Newspaper Award.

- Chris Foxwell, College Community Service and Student Government awards.

- Sarah Faith and Nathan Cross, Robinwood Players Drama Award.


- Sarah Faith, William Dale Clopper Memorial Award.

- Darlene Kane and Jodi Carmack, Washington County Medical Society awards.

HCC Class of 1985 alumnae Michael C. Babylon, Selena A. Luther and Mary H. Snyder received community citation awards.
