As part of an ongoing commitment to support the communities it serves, Allegheny Energy has donated $5,000 to Leadership Maryland.

The donation will assist Leadership Maryland in funding its newly founded Forum for Policy Change - a campaign to address issues facing Maryland.

"Allegheny Energy has been in the forefront of establishing Leadership Maryland initiatives since our inception in 1993." said Howard B. Miller, a founding member of Leadership Maryland.

"Leadership Maryland Forum for Policy Change is the most significant undertaking of our organization, and Allegheny Energy's support is the backbone in helping this new program reach its goal of solving crucial problems facing the state."

For more than seven years, Leadership Maryland has conducted a statewide leadership program with a mission to engage, educate, and connect area leaders to the critical issues in the state.
