Donald G. Kuhn

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Donald G. Kuhn, 72, of 7669 Cumberland Circle, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Jan. 25, 1928, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Stanley and Blanche Bricker Kuhn.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Wolfe Kuhn, in 1985.

He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy L. Mull Jr. of Akron, Pa., and Mary L. Rosenberry of St. Thomas; a sister, Violet Custer of Mercersburg, Pa.; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave. in Mercersburg. The Rev. Allen Eshleman will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lena M. Lynch

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Lena Marden Lynch, 80, of Long Term Care Facility of the Fulton County Medical Center, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Fulton County Medical Center.

Born Sept. 11, 1919, in McConnellsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice McCulloh Rhodes.

Her husband, Frank D. Lynch, died in 1986.

She had been a seamstress at Stanley Co.; and had cooked at Johnnies Diner.

She had attended McConnellsburg Assembly of God Church.

A member of VFW Auxiliary, she had served as president, chaplain and in other offices.

She is survived by a two daughters, Kathrine Heinbaugh of St. Thomas, Pa., and Cheryl Tritle of McConnellsburg; seven sons, Ronald Lynch of Ocala, Fla., Richard Lynch, Frank Lynch, George Lynch, James Lynch and Dennis Lynch, all of McConnellsburg, and Terry Lynch of Central City, Pa.; two sisters, Irene Coon of Shippensburg, Pa., and Molly Smith of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Darlene Lynch; a son, Charles Lynch; four sisters; six brothers; six half-sisters; and a half-brother.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St. in McConnellsburg. The Rev. Belvy White will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Annie B. Arnold

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Annie B. Arnold, 85, of 121 Walnut Bottom Road, who formerly lived with her daughter, Jean Boone, in Shippensburg, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born Dec. 9, 1914, in Willow Hill, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George A. and Lorretta J. Coons Guyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester E. Arnold, in 1978.

She was a machine operator at Beistle Co. in Shippensburg for 25 years, retiring in 1977.

She attended Prince Street United Brethren Church in Shippensburg. She was a former member of Spring Run United Brethren Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Reever and Sylia Boone, both of Shippensburg; a son, Ronald Arnold of Shippensburg; three sisters, Clara Traxler of Shippensburg, Mary Groce of Fort Loudon, Pa., and Susie Romig of Wells Tannery, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James A. Arnold; and a brother, William Guyer.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St. in Dry Run, Pa. The Rev. Gary Culler will officiate. Burial will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery in Fannett Township, Pa.

Visitation will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Peggy J. Lawson

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Peggy Jones Lawson, 60, of Charles Town, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at her home.

Born Oct. 8, 1939, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late Ernington H. and Edna Ruth Miller Jones.

She was a 1957 graduate of Charles Town High School.

She was a homemaker. She had been employed by General Telephone Co. in Charles Town for nine years; and by Scott and White Pharmacy in Charles Town.

She was a member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church.

She had volunteered as activities director of Jeffersonian Manor Nursing Home in Charles Town.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen G. "Steve" Lawson, whom she married March 6, 1960; two brothers, Ernie M. Jones of Charles Town and David H. Jones of Warrenton, Va.; two nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Charles Town Presbyterian Church, 220 E. Washington St., Charles Town. The Rev. William Everhart will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town.

The family will receive friends Thursday at 1 p.m. at the church.
