Youth Conservation Corps

Young men and women ages 15 to 18 with no serious criminal history may apply.
The position will require outdoor labor, working in heat and using a variety of tools. Projects include resource monitoring: gypsy moth/fish population/exotic plants, trail maintenance and construction and painting projects during inclement weather. Some projects will be in partnership with Antietam National Battlefield and Monocacy National Battlefield. An equal number of male and female applicants will be chosen by a random drawing. Rate of pay is minimum wage.

Safe Sitter classes

The Safe Sitter program is a medically accurate program that teaches girls and boys ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children and also provides helpful tips to make participants more confident caregivers.
