The bride is the daughter of Judith A. Lowman of Williamsport. The bridegroom is the son of Mary Madeline Bender and Paul G. Bender Sr., both of Hagerstown.

The bride is a 1982 graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College. She is employed at Turning Point of Washington County Inc. as a mental health associate.

The bridegroom is a 1981 graduate of Smithsburg High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College. He is employed as a consultant engineer in the construction inspection division of State Highway Administration.

Stacy Lynn Johnson and Daniel M. O'Connell II were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Salisbury, Md.

The bride is the daughter of Ed and Cindy Twilley and Victor and Joan Vollkommer, all of Salisbury. The bridegroom is the son of Daniel and Diane O'Connell of Hagerstown.

The bride is a graduate of Salisbury State University. She is employed as a certified public accountant with Pigg, Krahl, Stern and Co. in Salisbury.

The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and Salisbury State University. He also is employed as a certified public accountant with Pigg, Krahl, Stern and Co. in Salisbury.

Misty Dawn Phillips and Michael Aaron Hartle were married Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Clear Spring.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Paula Phillips Jr. of Fairplay. The bridegroom is the son of Gregory and Kathy Wiles of Keedysville.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Washington County Career Studies Center. She is employed as a cosmetologist at Hair Concepts in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Boonsboro High School and Washington County Career Studies Center. He is employed by Antietam Paving Co. of Williamsport.

The bride is the daughter of L. John and Shirley A. Renshaw of Bel Air, Md. The bridegroom is the son of P. Michel and Jane S. Lion of McLean, Va.

The bride is a graduate of Williamsport High School and Pennsylvania State University. She is employed as a product sales representative with Sun Microsystems Inc. in Tysons Corner, Va.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Princeton High School in Princeton, N.J., and Pennsylvania State University. He is employed as vice president of marketing for Avilar Technologies Inc. in Laurel, Md.
