H. Evelyn White

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - H. Evelyn White, 90, a resident of Menno Haven, and formerly of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Menno Haven.

Born Feb. 9, 1910, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Vernon R. and Elizabeth M. Iser Isanogle.

Her husband, Walter T. White, died Aug. 6, 1999. They were married Oct. 22, 1932.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Chambersburg.

She was a member of Martha Custis Chapter 342 Order of Eastern Star; Falling Spring Court 139, Order of Amaranth; Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary and Chambersburg Women's Club, all of Chambersburg.

She is survived by a son, D. LaMar White of Chambersburg; a sister, Lillian Everly of Menno Haven; a granddaughter, Lynell Brown of Chambersburg and a great-grandson, Dylan Brown of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Vernon D. Isner will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army Corps, 159 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Brett T. Burger

HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - Brett Thane Burger, 32, of Plum Hollow Road, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born April 4, 1967, in McConnellsburg, he was the son of Brenda Hann Burger and the late Orville "Bob" Burger.

He had been employed with Gaumer's Chassis Engineering, Chambersburg, Pa.

He was a member of Freedom Worship Center, Fort Littleton, Pa.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dulee McMullen Burger, whom he married March 25, 1989; a daughter, Annissa Burger at home; three sons, Dillen Burger, Brett Burger II and Cheyenne Burger, all at home; a sister, Bobbi Rager of McConnellsburg; a brother, Brendan Burger of Hustontown; his step-father, Ivan McMullen; and maternal grandmother, Madeline Hann of McConnellsburg.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. The Rev. Kevin Wade will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Ridge Cemetery, North Clear Ridge Road, Hustontown.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Madeline V. Grams

MYERSVILLE, Md. - Madeline Virginia Grams, 84, of 230 Mountain Terrace, died Friday, March 9, 2000, at her home.

Born Jan. 6, 1916, in Chestnut Grove, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Baker Springer.

Her husband, Thomas Frederick Grams, died Nov. 25, 1976.

She was a member of Locust Valley Bible Church, Middletown, Md.

She is survived by five sons, Clarence F. Grams of Frederick, Md., Howard Grams of Broken Bow, Okla., Vernon Grams of Carney's Point, N.J., Leslie P. Grams and David L. Grams, both of Myersville; six daughters, Mary V. Masser of Venadocia, Ohio, Eunice D. Parsons and Lydia M. Stewart, both of Hedgesville, W.Va., Esther E. Foster and Ruthie L. Zepp, both of Myersville, Dorothy E. Gross of Middletown; a sister, Catherine Metz of Hagerstown, 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters; four brothers; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Locust Valley Bible Church. The Rev. Curvin D. Stambaugh will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, which will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church.

James I. Boyd

OCALA, Fla. - James Ivan Boyd, 66, of Ocala, and formerly of Gerrardstown, W.Va., died Friday, March 10, 2000, at his home under the care of Hospice.

Born Oct. 2, 1933, in Gerrardstown, he was the son of Frances Aikens Boyd and the late John Allen Boyd.

He was a 1951 graduate of Martinsburg High School.

He formerly owned and operated Wiest and Boyd Grocery in Gerrardstown. He retired from Inwood Post Office as a rural mail carrier.

He was a member of Gerrardstown United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for 18 years until transferring to Ocala West United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Miriam Wiest Boyd; three daughters, Cindy Woods of Martinsburg, W.Va., Lisa Loudan of Gerrardstown and Melanie Clark of Palm Bay, Fla.; a son, J. Scott Boyd of Gerrardstown; three sisters, Janet Boyd and Sharon Boyd, both of Gerrardstown, and Joyce Braithwaite of Inwood, W.Va.; a brother, Paul Boyd of Gerrardstown; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte James.
