The Morrows

Walt and Myra Jean Mohler Morrow were guests of honor at a reception Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Patterson Lounge, Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. The celebration was hosted by their children and spouses, Diane Morrow of Fayetteville, Pa., Bob and Jean Morrow Irving of Prescott, Ontario, Canada, and Buddy Morrow of Mercersburg, Pa., assisted by six grandchildren and a friend, Amy Foster.

Some of the guests had attended their wedding. The Morrows renewed their vows in a service presided over by Pastor Bob Kochert of Zion Covenant Church. The service included songs sung at their wedding and a reading of "A Bride's Prayer," given to and used by the bride on their wedding day.

The Morrows were married Sept. 17, 1949, at Govans Methodist Church in Baltimore.

Mr. Morrow is a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving during World War II in England, North Africa and Italy. After his graduation from University of Maryland until his retirement in 1982, he was an industrial engineer in both industry and government.
