Anti-terrorism training to be held

The Washington County Local Emergency Planning Committee will host an anti-terrorism training seminar for Washington County fire, rescue, law enforcement and government officials today at the Ramada Inn in Hagerstown.

Donald Lumpkins, Terrorism Coordinator for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency, will inform participants how to organize services in the event of a terrorist attack or mass disaster, according to John Bentley, co-chair of the county LEPC.

About 30 people are registered for the seminar, including representatives from the City of Hagerstown, Maryland State Police, Hagerstown City Police, Washington County Sheriff's Department, Hagerstown Fire Department, Washington County Hospital and the county Special Operations Unit.
