Jaycees offer family workshop

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Jaycees, a leadership training organization, is hosting a program on effective communication for parents and guardians of young children. Parents or anyone who functions in a primary parenting role, expectant parents, and anyone thinking of having children are invited to attend this free event Monday, March 13, beginning at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Frederick Jaycees' office in Everedy Square, second floor by Tauraso's restaurant rear patio.

Featured speaker, Rose Berdahl, director of the Early Childhood Family Education Maryland program, will help adults understand how to talk so children will listen, thus decreasing conflict and increasing cooperation. The program atmosphere is casual and a question and answer period is included.
