How to order cookies

Girl Scout Cookies have arrived and are available.

For those people who did not order earlier this year, cookies are available through local booth sales.

For those who did not order them, cookies may be purchased at booths set up in local shopping areas for $3 per box.

There are eight varieties of Girl Scout cookies. Cost is $3 per box.

* Trefoil-shaped Shortbread cookies were the first commercially baked Girl Scout cookies. They've been around since 1934.

* Thin Mints are the best-selling variety, accounting for about one out of every four boxes of Girl Scout Cookies sold.

* Caramel deLites are another favorite.

* There are Peanut Butter Sandwiches and chocolate-covered Peanut Butter Patties.

* Upside-Downs are oatmeal cookies with sugar frosting on the bottom.

* Lemon Pastry Cremes have a sweet-tart taste and reduced fat.

* The new Animal Treasures are fudge-dipped shortbread cookies embossed with endangered animals.
