W.Va. man charged in robbery of 7-Eleven

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A Martinsburg, W.Va., man has been charged following a robbery at a 7-Eleven store along W.Va. 45 near Shepherdstown last Saturday, according to West Virginia State Police.

About 2 a.m. last Saturday, a man entered the convenience store just west of Shepherdstown and demanded money, according to Sgt. S.E. Paugh.

The man indicated he had a weapon, but none was shown, Paugh said.

The robber was given $60 in cash.

Workers at the store chose a man from a photo lineup, Paugh said.

Charged with robbery was Michael Eugene Decker, 20, Paugh said. Decker was being transported to the Eastern Regional Jail near Martinsburg Tuesday night, Paugh said.
