Washington County Schools are conducting a "Voice Poll" telephone survey on educational priorities from Jan. 26 until Feb. 6.

The School Board invites staff, parents, students 16 or older and other members of the public to participate.

Call 1-800-861-6244 and dial 8908 to access the survey line, which is open 24 hours a day. It is free and confidential and takes about five minutes to complete.

Using the telephone keypad, callers will be asked to rank the importance of items such as competitive salaries and training, high school reading teachers, additional guidance counselors, a middle school math remediation program and special education.

The School Board will consider the survey results and discussion at a public hearing Feb. 8 to finalize its budget for presentation to the Washington County Commissioners.
