SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Megan Gephart scored 17 points as Shippensburg won in double overtime 57-47 over McConnellsburg in the Lady Greyhound Holiday Tournament on Monday.

MConnellsburg (1-5) came back from an 11-point third quarter deficit to force the overtime, led by 20 points from Jamie Morton and 15 from Kim Johnston.

Wakefield 57, SJPH 38

POTOMAC, Md. - Lynn Stewart scored 10 of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter as Wakefield pulled away from St. John's at Prospect Hall in the first round of the inaugural Holy Child Holiday Tournament.

Wakefield outscored SJPH 21-2 in the fourth quarter for the victory. Heather Showers scored 11 points and Kelly Hollister grabbed 11 rebounds for SJPH (1-7), which will play at noon in the second round of the tournament today.

AP honors two Frederick players

BALTIMORE - Two players from the Frederick High School football team garnered honorable mention on the Associated Press' Bigg School All State team.

Junior Akil Patterson made the team on the defensive line and senior John Tsikerdanos made the team at linebacker.
