Pansye M. Hann

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pansye Mae Kinley Hann, 85, of Manorcare Nursing Home, and formerly of Trinity House, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at the nursing home.

Born May 11, 1914, in Tomstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harris and Ada Miller Kinley.

Her husband, Harold V. Hann, died in 1987. They were married July 4, 1941.

She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown.

She was a 1933 graduate of Waynesboro (Pa.) Area High School.

She worked at Waynesboro Hospital and later at Hagerstown Nursing School as a receptionist.

She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Brunner, Virginia Harbaugh and Martha Butts; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Harbaugh; four brothers, Wilbur Kinley, Richard Kinley, Charles Kinley and Harris Kinley Jr.; and two stepsisters, Ardella Dowlin and Susan Powell.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Rev. Dean Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Gertraud M. Kennedy

CASCADE - Burial for Gertraud M. Berghof Kennedy, 74, of 25326 Springdale Ave., who died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 524 Frederick St., Hagerstown, MD 21742; or to the American Kidney Fund, P.O. Box 96507, Washington, DC 20077-7095.

Violet B. Frisenda

WILLIAMSPORT - Violet B. Matson Tantillo Frisenda, 89, of Williamsport, and formerly of Joppatowne, Md., and Old Bethpage, Long Island, N.Y., died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born Dec. 12, 1910, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Carswell Matson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander J. Frisenda, in 1987.

Until her retirement, she was employed as a credit office manager for the New York offices of Alcoa.

She is survived by a sister, Marie Gillespie of Redbank, N.J.; two grandsons, Robert V. Tantillo of Hagerstown and Thomas P. Tantillo of Brisbane, Calif.; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a son, Vincent Tantillo.

A private graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home in Hagerstown.

Richard F. Mills

CLEAR SPRING - Richard Franklin Mills, 59, of 11 Cumberland St., died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 27, 1940, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Raymond Richard and Charlotte Repp Mills.

He was a construction worker.

He was a Protestant.

He is survived by his companion, Sondra E. Johnson; a daughter, Tammy S. Mills of Hagerstown; a son, Curtis L. Mills of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a sister, Saundra Murray of Hagerstown; three brothers, David T. Mills of Hagerstown, Douglas Mills of Biloxi, Miss., and Amos Mills of Clear Spring; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. Robert E. Timmons will officiate. Burial will be in Little Rose Hill Cemetery in Clear Spring.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Irmgard M. Boening

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Irmgard M. Boening, 71, of Deer Mountain Estates, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born Dec. 23, 1927, in Heidelberg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Katherine Bender Floesser.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

She is survived by her husband, Waldemar F. Boening; five sons, Mark Boening of Fargo, N.D., Franz Boening of Harpers Ferry, Andre Boening of Linwood, Neb., and Luke Boening and Eric Boening, both of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Hans Floesser of Heidelberg; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, High and King streets in Shepherdstown. The Rev. Perry Hanson will officiate. Burial will be in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar, Iowa.

The family will receive friends Thursday at 2 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are by Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home in Harpers Ferry.

Eric M. Wagshal

Dr. Eric M. Wagshal, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999.

He was the son of Ben and Lillian Wagshal.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Wagshal; three children, Steven, Julie and Amy; two brothers, Marc Wagshal and Alan Wagshal; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at B'nai Israel Congregation, 6301 Montrose Road, Rockville, Md. Burial will be in Judean Memorial Gardens in Olney, Md.

The family will observe Shiva through Friday morning at the residence of Marc and Merna Wagshal; and Saturday evening through Monday evening at his late residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, Kidney Cancer Research, c/o NIH, 31 Center Drive, MSC 2486, Bethesda, MD 20892-2486.
