Hilda K.J. Guth

Hilda Kathryn Johnson Guth, 87, of 107 Linden Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Homewood Nursing Home in Williamsport.

Born Feb. 13, 1912, in Leitersburg, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Stephen and Sadie Douglas Guth.

She was a member of Zion Reformed Church in Hagerstown.

She was a member of Washington County Hospital Auxiliary, volunteering for 23 years.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown. The Rev. J. Clark Hayes will officiate.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Madge M. Wetzel

Madge Marie Wetzel, 83, of 216 Willard St., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Colton Villa Nursing Home.

Born April 15, 1916, in Security, Md., she was the daughter of the late William M. and Violet H. Godlove Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Wetzel, in 1993.

She is survived by one brother, J. Hoit Williams of Hagerstown; and one grandson, Shawn W. Wetzel of Williamsport.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Marcus L. Williams.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. J. Norman Mayer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Janet K. Reasner

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Janet Kay Reasner, 52, of 1221 Anthony Highway, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 10, 1947, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Rachael Harbaugh Austin.

She was a 1965 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

She was formerly employed by United Telephone as an operator.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Larry A. "Tony" Reasner; one son, Tony R. Reasner of Edmond, Okla.; one sister, Joyce Crider of Landisburg, Pa.; two brothers, Dennis Austin of Littlestown, Pa., and Gary Austin of Alexandria, Va.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen W. Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Fayetteville Fire Co., West Main Street, Fayetteville, PA 17222; or to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

David J. Spielman

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - David John "Crockett" Spielman, 63, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Aug. 16, 1936, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Ardell William and Eunice Llewellyn Porter Spielman.

He attended the Highland School and Berkeley Springs High School, both in Berkeley Springs.

He retired in 1986 after 30 years as a communications clerk with Western Union; and was a member of Western Union Retirees Association.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was a member of AARP.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patsy Ann Merica Spielman, at home; one daughter, Karleen Yvonne Spielman of Hanover, Pa.; two sisters, Lila Mae Spielman and Edith E. Hovermale, both of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Wayne E. Spielman of Berkeley Springs; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Ann Spielman; and three brothers, William A. Spielman, Donald P. Spielman and Richard P. Spielman.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. G. Edward Grove will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, U.S. 522 South, Berkeley Springs.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 11 a.m.

Eleanor R. Lehrer

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Eleanor Royer Lehrer, 83, of Alexandria, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at her home is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Royer Seibert of Clear Spring.

Chester J. Augustowski

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Chester John Augustowski, 71, of 1012 Ambler Lane, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born July 12, 1928, in Peekskill, N.Y., he was the son of the late Walter and Agatha Dybas Augustowski.

He was employed as a shipping foreman for Accurate Box Co. in Patterson, N.J., retiring in 1991.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport.

He was a member of American Legion Post, and Troop 40 Boy Scouts of America, both in Metuchen, N.J.; Parkinson's Disease Association, and The Enjoy Growing Older Club in Martinsburg.
