Woman says she recalls details of man who tried to assault her

December 08, 1999

A woman who said a man attempted to sexually assault her in mid-November has recalled features of the man so that an artist's drawing could be prepared.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies said the man entered an apartment on North Colonial Drive at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16.

The man got into bed with a woman and tried to sexually assault her, she said. While in her room, the man referred to himself as James.

The woman and her roommate forced the man from the residence, they said. Once outside, he fled on foot east of the complex.
