The City of Hagerstown will purchase, rehabilitate and resell two more properties through its Single Family Homeownership Program.
Last week the City Council voted 4-1 for acquisition, rehabilitation and resale of 113 S. Locust St. in Hagerstown.
The council also voted 5-0 for the acquisition, rehabilitation and resale of 16 East Ave., also in Hagerstown.
Councilman J. Wallace McClure voted against buying the 113 S. Locust St. property because he believes there is inadequate off-street parking.
The South Locust Street property will cost the city $24,000 to purchase.
The East Avenue property will cost the city $13,500.
Both purchases are being made with city funds received through the federal Community Development Block Grant program.
