Panel takes first step toward removal of killer's ashes from Arlington

The U.S. Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee passed a bill Thursday that includes an order to have the cremated remains of Russell Wayne Wagner removed from Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. Vernon Davis, the son of Daniel and Wilda Davis, who were stabbed to death in their West Wilson Boulevard home on Valentine's Day 1994, said he realizes the passage is just the first step in the Senate committee's attempt to have the remains removed.
