Berkeley Co. man faces drug charges in Md. court

A Falling Waters, W.Va., man in his 20s wanted on two outstanding warrants for theft was arrested Saturday on drug charges in Williamsport, according to Washington County District Court documents.

Ryan Lewis Swisher, of 230 Camelot Blvd., was charged with four counts of drug possession and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia Saturday after a traffic stop near U.S. 11 and Clifton Drive, documents state. He also was cited with traffic offenses, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

Police said Swisher was wanted on two outstanding warrants for theft. He was charged in February and again in March with stealing merchandise and selling it to a local pawn shop, documents state.

Police alleged they found cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia in Swisher's vehicle during a search, documents state.

He was being held Monday night on $172,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center, according to a spokesman there.
