Couple faces multiple charges in W.Va.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. ? A man wanted on a dozen charges stemming from the theft of four vehicles from a used auto sales business near Martinsburg was caught by police Thursday night.

George Irvin Lebon III, 20, of 53 Lillian Way in Martinsburg, is charged with four counts of grand larceny (automobile), four counts of conspiracy to grand larceny, and counts of breaking and entering, conspiracy to breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, bringing stolen property into West Virginia and possession of a controlled substance (heroin) with intent to deliver it, according to court records.

Lebon was in the Eastern Regional Jail Friday night on a $170,000 cash-only bond set by Berkeley County Magistrate Joan V. Bragg, according to court records.

Amanda C. Heleine, 30, of 318 Perry Drive in Falling Waters, W.Va., who was with Lebon when he was arrested about 10:30 p.m. along Crawford Quarry Road, was arraigned Friday by Magistrate Sandra L. Miller on charges of conspiracy and providing false information to a law enforcement officer, according to court records. Miller set a $10,500 bond for Heleine, according to records.

In complaints filed against the couple, West Virginia State Police Trooper N.K. Campbell said a bag with 33 capsules containing about 16 grams of heroin was found along Crawford Quarry Road near where he and two other troopers arrested the pair. A resident told police they saw the bag discarded from the vehicle in which Lebon and Heleine were riding.
