Youngsters plan yard sale Saturday for Humane Society

November 30, 1999

Two young Washington County residents will hold a yard sale on Saturday to raise money for the Humane Society of Washington County.

Skyler Casto and Natalie Reede, both from Sharpsburg, have spent weeks planning the yard sale. They have been making bracelets to sell, and have enlisted their families to help gather items for the sale. "They already have clothing, knickknacks and stuffed animals for the yard sale," said Deana Casto, Skyler's mother. She added, "I am donating antique post cards for them to sell. It's for a good cause."

When asked why they would do all this hard work at the end of their summer vacation, Skyler replied, "I love animals and I want to help. We have two fish, two African Dwarf frogs and a Corgi." Natalie also has a love for animals, and is just as excited as Skyler is to be holding the fundraiser.

The yard sale will be held at 201 S. Mechanic St. in Sharpsburg. It will begin at 7 a.m. and will continue until all items are gone. The girls are hoping for a wonderful turnout.
