MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man was stabbed repeatedly Saturday morning during an altercation, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.
Orlando Romero Robledo Alonzo, 18, was taken by private automobile to City Hospital and then transferred to Inova Fairfax Hospital. He was in guarded condition Saturday night, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Alonzo was inside Building 314 of the Berkeley Garden Apartments on U.S. 11 with several other people, Lt. Kenny Lemaster said.
Lemaster said Alonzo got into an altercation with another man and was stabbed multiple times in the back.
Officials at City Hospital contacted police at about 12:30 a.m. to report a man with stab wounds had entered the hospital.
