Waynesboro Hospital Lights of Hope ceremony is Sunday

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary will hold its eighth annual Lights of Hope tree-lighting ceremony, Sunday, Dec. 5, at 4:30 p.m. in front of the hospital.

Each tree light represents a donation of $10 or more given in memory or honor of a friend or loved one. The "Scroll of Honor," a book which lists the names of all honorees, is on display in the outpatient lobby of the hospital. The names of all honorees are read aloud during the tree-lighting ceremony roll call.

In order to have your honoree's name included in the reading of the Scroll of Honor list, donations must be received no later than Tuesday, Nov. 30.


Hospice to sponsor Light Up A Life program

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Hospice of the Panhandle is sponsoring Light Up A Life in memory or in honor of a loved one with your gift of $10 or more for each light. Tree-lighting ceremonies are Sunday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. in Berkeley County at Martinsburg Mall, at 3 p.m. in Jefferson County at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and at 5 p.m. in Morgan County at Morgan County Public Library.

Proceeds help Hospice of the Panhandle assure that hospice care and bereavement services are available to all appropriate people, regardless of ability to pay.

Labor of Love to hold candlelight memorial service

Labor of Love, a support group for anyone who has experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn loss, will have a candlelight memorial service to remember babies Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. at Washington County Hospital, Pangborn Hall, 251 E. Antietam St.

The memorial service is an opportunity to have quiet time for tears and to share with others who understand loss. You may bring pictures, poems, books or whatever you'd like to share.

Ravenwood to host holiday illumination Dec. 3

Ravenwood Lutheran Village at 1183 Luther Drive in Hagerstown will host its fourth annual holiday illumination Friday, Dec. 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. An open house will be held at Assisted Living and the Nursing Care Center with entertainment and refreshments. The public is welcome.
