Eddry Lonon

SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Eddry Lonon, 65, of 10058 South Mountain Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at South Mountain Restoration Center.

Born Oct. 12, 1934, in Savannah, Ga., he was the son of the late Abury and Dinna L. Lewvis Lonon.

He attended Lehigh, Pa., area schools.

He was a Protestant.

Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. in the South Mountain Restoration Center Auditorium. The Rev. Richard Stuempfle will officiate. Burial will be private.


Visitation will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Marian Mielu

Marian Mielu, 45, of 22 Haywood Circle, Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at his home.

Born July 30, 1954, in Arges, Romania, he was the son of Maria Mariud Mielu of Romania and the late Nicolae Mielu.

He was employed by Packaging Services, Inc.; and Tecksol U.S., Inc.

He was a member of the Apostolic Romanian Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Aurica Mielu; a son, Daniel Mielu of Hagerstown; a sister, Oita Matei of Romania; a brother, Ionel Mielu of Romania; and two nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joe F. Burnett

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Joe F. Burnett, 87, of 3988 Clayhill Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born Dec. 24, 1911, in Madison County, Ky., he was the son of the late Bruce and Nannie Crawley Burnett.

He was employed by Five Forks Fruit near Waynesboro; and worked as a horse trainer; and as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Irene Messmer Burnett, whom he married Dec. 23, 1936; a son, Jerry Edward Burnett of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, Ky.

At his request, there will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St. in Greencastle, Pa.

Irvin G. Hess

INWOOD, W.Va. - Irvin Glenhue Hess, 82, of Inwood, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at his home.

Born Jan. 19, 1917, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clarence M. and Mary Lewis Hess.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Hovermale Hess.

He was a retired orchardist and farmer.

He attended Martinsburg Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Hunter Hess; a niece, whom he raised, Wanda Light of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Bennett of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a sister, Reva Butts of Inwood; a brother, Garnett Hess of Martinsburg; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Arden. The Rev. Harold O. Snyder will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.

Mary A. Ford

BOONSBORO - Mary Alice Higdon Ford, 78, of 7745 Old National Pike, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at her home.

Born May 7, 1921, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Higdon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Ashton Ford, in 1979.

She was a graduate of Strayer Business College.

She had been employed by J.B. Ferguson and Co.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Boonsboro.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Ford of Boonsboro; three sons, L. Brenton Ford, Dale M. Ford and James A. Ford, all of Boonsboro; a brother, Douglas Higdon of Frederick, Md.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, James Higdon, John Higdon and Frank Higdon.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Boonsboro Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph I. Donovan III will officiate.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Arrangements are by Bast Funeral Home of Boonsboro.

Wilson W. Crouse Sr.

WINCHESTER, Va. - Wilson William Crouse Sr., 75, of 1866 Cedar Grove Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born June 3, 1924, in Hampshire County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Thomas and Eva Puffinberger Crouse Pease.

He was a retired truck driver.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He attended Hebron Baptist Church in Gore, Va.
