Dorothy M. Darr

Arrangements for Dorothy Manon Darr, 89, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, who died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, were made by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown.

Barbara L. Clopper

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Barbara L. Fitz Clopper, 49, of 100 W. Ninth St., died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa.

Born March 26, 1950, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Andrew S. Fitz of Waynesboro and the late Ruth Brown Fitz.

She was a 1968 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School. She was a graduate of Award Beauty School in Chambersburg, Pa.

She owned and operated Clopper's Beauty Salon in Waynesboro from 1969 until 1991; and then opened Excalibur Perm and Color Experts in Waynesboro.

She was a member of Welty's Church of the Brethren in Smithsburg, taught Sunday school and was a youth group leader. She attended Ringgold Church of Christ in Ringgold.

She was a member of Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, George A. Clopper, whom she married June 29, 1968; two daughters, Angela D. Touhey and Sherry D. DiSanto, both of King of Prussia, Pa.; four sisters, Elizabeth McCleaf and Carol Eberly, both of Waynesboro, Debra Pagach of Mont Alto, Pa., and Sandy Smith of York, Pa.; two brothers, Ernest Fitz and Harold Fitz, both of Waynesboro; a granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Ringgold Church of Christ, 14420 Barkdoll Road in Ringgold. Pastors Donald Conley and Richard Daughtridge will officiate. Burial will be in Welty Church Cemetery near Smithsburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gods Word to the World, 11953 Scott Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Charles M. Wisner Sr.

FREDERICK, Md. - Charles Martin Wisner Sr., 88, of 7944 Old Seventh St., died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Citizens Nursing Home of Frederick County, Md.

Born May 1, 1911, in Walkersville, Md., he was the son of the late Harry L. and Leita Grace Hoke Wisner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Lenhart Wisner, in May 1999.

A retired dairy farmer, he had farmed in Poolesville, Manchester and Harmony Grove, Md.

He is survived by two daughters, Vickie Sue Battle of Tampa, Fla., and Betty A. Eans of Walkersville; two sons, Charles Martin Wisner Jr. of Myersville, Md., and Dennis Wayne Wisner of Keedysville; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Lynn Wisner; and a son, Larry Richard Wisner.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St. in Frederick. The Rev. Hayden L. Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brenda W. Whipp

ST. MARY'S, Ga. - Brenda Wonn Whipp, 53, of 296 Liberty Tree Road, and formerly of Williamsport, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Camden Medical Center in Kingsland, Ga.

Born Sept. 28, 1946, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Maurice and Lorene Henson Wonn.

She was employed as a veterinarian surgical technician.

She served in the U.S. Air Force.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Tampa, Fla.

She was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Whipp Jr.; a daughter, Teresa A. Brunetti of Macon, Ga.; and a granddaughter, Kristi Lynn Brunetti of Macon.

Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.

Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.

Carl J. Seal

Carl Junior Seal, 72, of 17700 Stone Valley Drive, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

Born July 13, 1927, in Luray, Va., he was the son of Katie Kibler Seal of Virginia and the late Walter McKingley Seal.

He retired from Fairchild Industries; and Rohrer Industries.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Williamsport American Legion Post No. 202; and Redmen Tribe No. 84 of Williamsport.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Katherine M. Hose Seal; four sisters; two brothers; two stepbrothers; and four aunts.

He was preceded in death by a stepsister.
