Jerry L. Netz

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Jerry Lee Netz, 52, of Rt. 1, Box 57-B, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born April 5, 1947, in Appletown, he was the son of Juanita L. Thomas Netz of Hagerstown and the late William Elwood Netz.

He was owner-operator of J.L. Produce and Kar Kleen, both in Martinsburg, W.Va.

He formerly attended Boonsboro Bible Church.

He was a member of Moose Club, VFW and Eagles Club, all in Martinsburg.

He is survived by special friend, Linda A. Robinson; one daughter, Barbara Stevens of Landrum, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Tammie S. Wakefield of Charles Town, W.Va.; three sisters, Freda V. Burdette and Delight L. Reed, both of Martinsburg, and Joy L. Kauffman of Hagerstown; one brother, Wayne E. Netz of Hagerstown and three step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louella K. Himes

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Louella K. Himes, 82, of 12153 Carol Ave., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Feb. 28, 1917, in Saxton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John S. and Elise S. Edwards Houp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard M. Himes, in 1978.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Church of God in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Frank Carbaugh American Legion Post 373 of Greencastle; and Ladies Auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose 842 of Chambersburg, Pa.

She is survived by six daughters, Kathryn R. Dasher of Hopewell, Pa., Joyce P. Helsel of Imler, Pa., Norma Jean Singer of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Marlene Ann Crouse and Nancy F. Henry, both of Greencastle, and Kay L. Hockenberry of Chambersburg; one son, Richard E. Himes of Loysburg, Pa.; two sisters, Helen Duncan of Gibsonia, Pa., and Pearl S. Speck of Saxton; 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Willard B. Himes and a brother, John S. Houp Jr.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. K. Hull Byers will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Myrtle M. Shaffer

SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Myrtle M. Shaffer, 64, of 11129 South Mountain Road, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, in Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center.

Born April 16, 1935, in South Mountain, she was the daughter of the late George Crawford and Hazel Blizzard Shaffer.

She was a 1953 graduate of Quincy High School. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate from Willow Street (Pa.) Vo-Tech.

She was employed at South Mountain Restoration Center as an LPN, retiring in 1994.

She attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Mont Alto, Pa., and South Mountain Bible Church.

She was a member of National AARP.

She is survived by four sisters, Clarabell V. Cable of Davidsville, Pa., Shirley J. Longnecker of Elizabethtown, Pa., Bernadine M. Rotz of Chambersburg and Barbara A. Hayes of Carmel, Ind.; one brother, George J. Shaffer of Chambersburg; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Asia E. Borror

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Asia Elizabeth Borror, infant daughter of Jennifer Elizabeth Meier and Terry Lee Borror of Chambersburg, died at birth at home on Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Wayne and Bonnie Gunstone of Chambersburg; paternal grandmother, Virginia Burdette of Chambersburg and maternal great-grandparents, Eugene and Viola Egolf of Chambersburg.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.

Sue A. Deneen

Sue Ann Mumma Deneen, 36, of 12001 S. Scottish Court, Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Dec. 3, 1962, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Robert Jr. and Stella Mason Mumma of Hagerstown.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and Sterling Bell Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Randy A. Deneen; two brothers, Robert M. Mumma III of Hagerstown and David M. Mumma of Greencastle, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Mary E. Weist of Chambersburg; paternal grandmother, Dorothy E. Mumma of Hagerstown; one niece and three nephews.
