FREDERICK, Md. - A Baltimore man was in critical but stable condition Friday after receiving multiple gunshot wounds, the Frederick Police Department said.
Officers arrived at Lincoln Apartments on DeGrange Street shortly after midnight Friday after receiving reports of gunshots. They found a man shot in a service driveway leading to the apartment complex.
David Richardson, 22, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.
Richardson was shot at close range with a handgun, Lt. Thomas Chase said. He had seven wounds - two in the thigh, one in the buttocks, one in the arm and three in the midsection, Chase said.
A search of the area did not locate suspects, police said. Chase said police are searching for witnesses and are seeking a possible motive.
