The Hagerstown Community College Advanced Technology Center, located on the school's Robinwood Drive campus, is a grouping of 14 innovative laboratories and three special centers.
The facilities include:
* applied computer science
* applied materials science
* automated manufacturing
* CAD and CAM
* computer repair and networking
* electronics
* GIS/GPS
* industrial controls
* photonics
* PLC's
* quality assurance
* distance education.
The facilities are used for work force training, customized contract training, credit engineering technology and upper level university programs. Businesses, industries and individuals may also rent facilities and equipment to develop and manufacture new products.
The $4.4 million tech center opened in 1990.
