McHENRY, Md. - Katy Baker had 19 kills, 13 service points and 16 digs to lead Hagerstown Community College to a tri-match sweep of Garrett Community College 3-0 and CCAC-Beaver, 2-0.

HCC (17-1, 4-0 Maryland JuCo) defeated Garrett 15-13, 15-3, 15-12 before stopping Beaver 15-13, 15-12.

Kelli Martin had 53 assists and 12 service points while Rachel Bachtell added 17 kills and 15 service points. Lindsey Miller had 11 kills.


Charles 6, HCC 1

Emily Shirk scored Hagerstown Community College's goal in a home loss against Charles Community College.


Hagerstown 1, Dundalk 0

DUNDALK, Md. - Goalkeeper Jeremy Wykoff recorded a shutout and made 10 saves to enable Hagerstown Community College (3-3) to blank Dundalk. Kyle Lingg scored the only goal and Greg Wallace had the only assist for Hagerstown.



T. Johnson 7, North Carroll 1

FREDERICK, Md. - Bryan Cain and Mike Melcher had two goals each and Ben Sykes had a goal and two assists to lead Thomas Johnson to a victory over North Carroll.

TJ (3-1-1) led 2-0 at halftime and broke through for five second-half goals.

Chuckie Moat and Andrew Petrie each scored goals while Joe Higbee and Jay Wise added two assists each. Goalies John Paul Smith and Eric Ferguson combined to make eight saves.

TJ won the JV match, 6-0.

Williamsport 4, South 0

WILLIAMSPORT - Ryan Mease, Todd Knepper, Carlos Gomez and Jason Knicely each scored a goal as No. 3 Williamsport shut out South Hagerstown in a Monocacy Valley Athletic League match.

Josh Miller had six saves to record the shut out for Williamsport (8-0, 4-0).

Williamsport won the JV match, 8-0.

CVCS 3, Heritage Academy 2

Cumberland Valley Christian School pulled out an overtime victory over Heritage Academy (5-2 overall, 4-1 MDCC).

Heritage goalkeeper Justin Cline made 10 saves. Ben Jordan and Ryan Marquiss scored one goal each for Heritage Academy. Ian Ellis and Marquiss each had one assist.

Frederick 2, Linganore 1

NEW MARKET, Md. - Marc Steiner came through with the game-winning goal on an assist by Tim McCallum for Frederick (4-2) in overtime. Kavon Nasabzadeh had the other goal for Frederick. Frederick goalkeeper Jeff Love had four saves. Mike Rhodes scored for Linganore.


Grace Academy 3, Calvary 1

Susanna Hill had seven service points and 14 kills as No. 9 Grace Academy beat Calvary Christian, 15-10, 17-15, 11-15, 15-4.

Sarah Conner was 21 of 22 from the service line and had eight kills, while Heather Kendall had 32 assists for Grace (8-1).

CVCS 3, Heritage Academy 0

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Tara Markel tallied nine service points as Cumberland Valley Christian School swept, 15-10, 15-2, 15-12. Jeannette Kidd added seven service points for Heritage Academy. Chrissy Ennis had five assists and three kills for Heritage Academy.

McConnellsburg 2, Northern Bedford 0

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Kyla Seville delivered 14 service points and four kills to help McConnellsburg (7-1) sweep Northern Bedford, 15-10, 15-2. Erica Culler added eight service points, four kills and four blocks, while Tiffany Sipes had eight assists, two kills and two blocks for McConnellsburg.

Greencastle 2, Scotland 0

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Tabitha Eshleman contributed 34 assists, four kills and two blocks to help Greencastle (7-0) sweep Scotland, 15-5, 15-4. Danielle Grove had 11 service points and three aces, while Brandi Raifsnider registered eight kills for Greencastle.

Hedgesville 3, James Wood 1

HEDGESVILLE, W. Va. - Ashley Copenhaver came through with 12 blocks and 12 kills to enable Hedgesville (6-6) to get past James Wood, 6-15, 15-8, 15-11, 16-14. Hedgesville was down 14-11 in the fourth game and came back on five straight points by Abbie Dick and the net play of Copenhaver. Dick finished with 12 service points and eight assists.

Ashley Paxson chalked up 10 service points, while Tiffany Jordan added seven kills and four blocks for Hedgesville.

Thomas Johnson 3, Frederick 0

FREDERICK, Md. - Michelle Dorsch contributed 11 assists and six kills, while Christina Biddinger added 10 assists and eight service points to help Thomas Johnson (5-1) sweep Frederick, 15-11, 15-8, 15-1. Jen Wilson added eight service points and six kills, while Jen Wilburn had eight service points and five aces for Thomas Johnson.

Ashley Bush had six kills and four blocks, Danielle Robbins had two kills and one black and Chelsea Reidy had two kills, two aces and two assists for Frederick.

Frederick won the JV match, 10-15, 15-11, 15-11.

Hancock 3, St. Maria Goretti 1

HANCOCK - Heidi Moats had 19 service points, 10 kills and nine aces to help Hancock defeat St. Maria Goretti 15-4, 15-12, 11-15, 15-13. Bethany Sterner had 15 service points and eight assists, while Christi Barnard had 14 assists and five kills for Hancock. Erica Winn added eight kills and Rebecca Thomas had four kills for Hancock (3-4).

Hancock won the JV match, 15-2, 11-15, 15-5.
